The June 2022 Snap Shots features Vladimir Khazan, PHSNE member and previous meeting speaker, presenting the Dresden camera firm IHAGEE and its pioneering Exakta camera system Sunday, June 5th, at 7:30pm EDT on ZOOM. Other items include: PHOTOGRAPHICA 89’s huge success on April 23rd, with over 400 attendees plus a gallery of photos from the show; two photographic exhibits at the Currier Museum in Manchester, NH: The Appeal of the Real: 19th-century Photographs of the Ancient World, which ends Sunday, June 12, 2022; and an exhibit of Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests, short films of celebrities and unknowns, ending July 3rd, 2022. Also: the Universal Vitar, a camera built using spare parts; a publication notice for The Daguerreian Annual 2021; and a how-to for turning an obsolete camera into a table lamp.
