Membership Year

The PHSNE membership year runs September 1 to August 31.

Join between September and February and your membership runs to the following August 31. Join between March and August and the remaining months come free, running your membership to August 31 of the next year.

Join by Postal Mail

To pay by check or money order, print the application form, fill it out, and mail it with your payment to the address on the form. There’s also an online application form you can submit electronically.

If you include an email address, you’ll get a confirmation within about a week of us receiving your paperwork. PHSNE is volunteer-run, so holidays and vacations may stretch that.

FAQs

If you joined online, PayPal will send you a confirmation of the payment. Typically your membership will be established at PHSNE within a few days and you will receive a confirmation email directly from PHSNE. If you joined by mail and provided an email address, you will receive a confirmation by email, typically within a week after we receive your paperwork. Note that PHSNE is a volunteer-run organization; holidays, weekends, and vacations may extend our response time.

No. You may use the online option to pay with a credit card whether you have a PayPal account or not.

PHSNE receives the PayPal transaction number, your shipping address, phone number, and email so that we can confirm the transaction with you. No other financial information is shared with PHSNE.

New members pay half-price dues for the first year. After that, yearly dues are $50 Individual, $55 Family, and $60 for members outside the US. Educators, librarians, curators, and students at non-profit institutions may qualify for a Complimentary Non-Voting eMembership.

PayPal handles the conversion automatically based on current exchange rates. PHSNE doesn’t set the rate. Payments sent by postal mail must be in US dollars.
