The March 2021 Snap Shots newsletter features “Street Vendor Portraits,” presented by Mary Panzer on Zoom. The commercial street portraits were a common sight from the 1930s-1970s in many places, such as Poland and South Africa (above). Panzer is former Curator of Photographs at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery.
