Photographs by Richard Koolish

Mark your calendars because one of the best analog camera shows in North America is next month! Photographica 92 is happening on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. at Newton North High School (457 Walnut St. Newton, MA 02460). Keep scrolling for more details and FAQs!
Photographica is the largest event of its kind in New England. Last year 520 analog photography fans were in attendance. But you don’t have to know anything about analog to attend. We welcome the photo-curious along with the aficionados and everyone in between. Come with an open mind, leave an enthusiast!
There will be 90 tables filled with cameras, film, and images. There will even be a dealer making tin types. You’ll see medium and large format cameras, antiques and collectibles, photography books, and more brass and wood cameras than most people will see in one place in their lives (other than perhaps at a photography museum). We’re talking volume AND variety here. The Photographica show manager was once asked by a potential attendee, “Will there be any Rolleiflexs at Photographica for me to look at?” He answered, “How many dozens would you like to see?”

Photographica has become a place for people to learn, share, and explore the photographic medium with people who share their interest in creating images in traditional analog or a combination of digital and analog methods. The amazing show dealers are very knowledgeable and have been at this for a long time. They hail from all over America and the world. Many are acknowledged as authorities on the items they sell and stand behind. They will show you and teach you as well as answer your questions. Don’t worry, we got rid of the jerk dealers decades ago.
It is truly a unique experience and we really hope you’ll join us. As we like to say, “Photographica—come for the deals, stay for the people.”
And don’t miss the auction, which takes place at 4:30 PM. Download the inventory list here.
The henry weisenburger collection
Henry Weisenburger was a cherished Charter and Honorary Life Member of PHSNE, whose dedication to the organization spanned many years. He held several prominent roles, including six terms as President, four terms as Vice-President, and served as a Board Member At Large. Henry was also known as the “unofficial but authoritative” historian of PHSNE and was a regular exhibitor at the society’s shows. In 1985, he received the Victor H. Scales Memorial Award from the Photographic Society of America in recognition of his exceptional service to the PSA. At PHSNE’s 30th anniversary celebration, Jack Naylor honored Henry with the Jack Naylor Award for his devoted and exemplary service.
Following Henry’s passing, his heirs reached out to PHSNE for help managing his vast collection. Several members visited his home in Wayland, which they described as a “hoarder’s delight.” They have sifted through numerous boxes, file cabinets, and shelves, sorting through materials for various purposes: some items were donated to schools, others were showcased at last year’s Photographica, and many more will be featured at this year’s event. You can view the list of items from Weisenburger’s collection that will be available here.
