April 18th PHSNE Photographica & Auction is canceled.

May 3rd Davis Museum at Wellesley field trip is canceled.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, PHSNE events are suspended until further notice.

Since the timeframe for resolution of the pandemic is uncertain, no rescheduling plans have been made to date. Please check back at phsne.org and PHSNE's facebook page for meeting, Photographica, and Auction scheduling information when it becomes available. Updates are also being sent to the PHSNE email distribution list.

If you are not on our email distribution list, you can stay in touch by joining the Photographica and/or snap shots lists at PHSNE emails.

PHSNE holds two auctions each year. The largest is held at the spring Photographica Show. A second, typically smaller, auction is held as a monthly meeting, usually in late fall or early winter. Both auctions are open to the public for bidding. Consignment of items is open to the public, provided space and time is available at the auction as determined solely by PHSNE. Contact auction@phsne.org for information and to consign items. Also see the auction documents below.

Important Sales Tax Information!

Massachusetts requires PHSNE to collect the 6.25 percent state sales tax from buyers at the organization's auctions. If you plan on bidding in PHSNE-sponsored auctions and enjoy a tax exemption, you must provide PHSNE with a copy of your tax certificate. This is true whether you live in Massachusetts or some other state. The certificate number alone is not enough: Massachusetts requires PHSNE to have a copy of the actual certificate on file.

You need to provide the certificate only once; PHSNE will keep your certificate on file for reference at future auctions. You can mail or e-mail a copy of your certificate any time prior to an auction, or bring a copy with you to the auction. PHSNE is required to collect the 6.25% state sales tax from any winning bidder who does not have a certificate on file.

You may send a copy of your certificate to:

President
PHSNE

Waltham MA 02453

or e-mail a scan to president@phsne.org.

If you have any questions contact Joel Moses by email at president@phsne.org or call 781.893.0843.
