PHSNE History

Folks,

I would be interested in folks "who were there then" posting PHSNE History.  I came across this web site by Dick Bolt: http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~dickbolt/PHSNE.html.  It would be interesting to collect inks to other sites with PHSNE history or personal recollections on this topic.

I am one of the 4 original founders, along with Larry Rouchette and Brian Owens And Dick Bolt. We were all very close friends and were closet collectors. I had met Brian at an auction where they were selling a whole Darkroom full of old photo equiptment, magazines, etc., but the auction was in a tent on the lawn of the estate, so all they were showing were 2 old cameras. I won the auction for about 40 dollars and Brian had not realized that the house full of stuff was included. He and his friend Bob, helped me clean it all out.
Later, at a camera show in Ohio, there second one, I met with John Craig and others and talked about forming a club of our own like Ohio, Chicago, and New York had. I do not remember how Larry and I met, I think he was a friend of Brian.
I was the first secretary and most of the first meetings of the interested parties, was held at my house on Cape Cod. The address for PHSNE was a post office box in Buzzards Bay.[/i]
